For the past 7 years, she has been involved with coaching at various dojos, including: Drexel University, Bryn Mawr College, the University of Pennsylvania, and the Bryn Mawr Judo Club. Jennifer shares her favorite quote by Miyamoto Musashi,

John Weatherwax
Coach
John started judo somewhat late in life but quickly found it a great compliment to other physical activities and a fun and effective way to stay in shape. During his early years, he ended up bonding with many of the other judokas, building strong friendships. Now a 1st-degree black belt, John strives to make the sport as beginner friendly as possible, helping our novice judo students develop a strong foundation.
“If you’re interested in trying something challenging but fun, please come give us a try!” - Coach John
Juliann Chiu

Juliann began practicing judo with Sensei Joe in 2010 and enjoyed competing on both a local and national scale. Upon entering her undergraduate education, Juli became the Vice President (2021-2023) and eventual President (2023-2024) of the UPenn Judo Club, helping to host the annual Army vs. Navy College Team Tournament. Juli loves being involved with the judo community, especially helping to guide the next generation of little judokas!
